Group Therapy

Trauma informed group therapy allows time and directed focus toward sensations, impulses, and beliefs as they are stimulated in group process.

Mindfulness for Trauma

Directed Mindfulness for Regulation and Resources

For trauma survivors, paying attention to what goes on inside can range from the uncomfortable to the terrifying. For this reason, silent meditation is often too dysregulating and therefore avoided. Informed, guided and directed mindfulness can help trauma survivors traverse the rocky shoals of their inner landscape in a way that allows them to enjoy the benefits of meditation while safely developing a mindful awareness. A careful focus on the body’s resources leads to increased sense of safety, presence, and mastery over self-states.

We are pleased to offer an 8 week group for mindful skills to ease the symptoms of trauma

Safe Inside

Though many therapies help us find deeper understanding, insight alone may not impact our ability to get through the day-to-day. Even if the trauma was many years ago, crippling feelings of fear and dread may persist. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy looks at the ways in which the fearful state of our bodies interfere with daily life. With increased understanding, mindful somatic awareness and the practice of body-based skills, we can learn to safely manage the intrusive effects of trauma.

We are pleased to offer a 10 week Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Group to individuals struggling with the aftermath of Trauma.
